Welcome back to the ballroom!
On September 4, Dancing with the Stars announced the cast for its 33rd season, and on Tuesday, September 14, the new lineup of celebrities, including Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Tori Spelling, Olympic bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik, and Bachelor Nation's Joey Graziadei and Jenn Tran, will finally take the stage to showcase what they've been working on in rehearsals.
Returning to the judges' panel this season are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough, with Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro hosting once again.
One casting that raised eyebrows was convicted con artist Anna Delvey. Still under house arrest and wearing an ankle monitor as her deportation case remains unresolved, Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, received special permission from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to compete on DWTS.
The decision sparked controversy, including comments from Whoopi Goldberg on The View, where she questioned whether ICE operates under a "two-tiered system." Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin added that Delvey, 33, still owes people money, remarking, "Con artists tend to remain con artists." Griffin, 35, later apologized for her comments on The View on September 16, with Delvey’s lawyer, Duncan Levin, telling PEOPLE, "We are thankful."
Julianne Hough, 36, also addressed the controversy on the September 16 episode of the Call It What It Is podcast, admitting Delvey's inclusion was "controversial for sure," but shared her excitement, saying she’s "so obsessed" with Delvey being on the show.

Donna Martin Graduates to 'Dancing with the Stars'
Tori Spelling, 51, experienced a moment of self-discovery as she made her Dancing with the Stars debut. "I always say I'm 50% Donna, 50% Tori," she said, referencing her Beverly Hills, 90210 character. "I'm just a little more inappropriate."
Spelling shared with her partner Pasha Pashkov that she had turned down offers to do DWTS for the past 32 seasons. However, after turning 50, she felt ready to take the plunge. "I literally hit 50, and my life exploded," Spelling explained. "I'm going through a very public divorce. Everything I thought I was has been burned to the ground. I’m ready to find myself again—this time in front of millions of people."
For her debut, Spelling chose Pink’s "Trustfall" and performed a Foxtrot with Pashkov.
Carrie Ann Inaba commented that the performance felt "a little shaky" and "a little vulnerable," advising Spelling not to be "so timid."
"You can do this," Derek Hough encouraged Spelling. "It definitely felt a little stiff, you could feel the tension, but there’s potential there."
Final score: 17/30.
